Jungian Psychotherapy

Jungian Psychotherapy can be a helpful means towards becoming more conscious of who we naturally, originally are. Through the course of a human life, we may have experienced difficult life events, and perhaps trauma, that can lead to a diversion away from this essence, or, original, “native self.” Once this self is left behind, we may experience a sense of emptiness or meaninglessness that we cannot quite articulate or understand. This loss of sense of self can also lead to experiences of anxiety, depression and sometimes to difficulties within relationships.

Carl Jung was known for his central idea of “individuation,” which describes a lifelong process within each individual that moves us ever closer to the centre of who we are. Jungian psychotherapy offers a container for this, often difficult, journey of exploration and renewal. An important element of this therapy is to take account of the dreams you are having, or have had in the past, as a way of understanding what may be trying to make itself known in your inner world.

The aim of Jungian Psychotherapy is to work towards a sense of living a life that feels creative and meaningful to you, that expresses your own very unique form.
